Security Tips
- Never generate, test, or validate your seed phrase on a device connected to the internet.
- This page can be downloaded and used completely offline (right-click to save).
- Do not use your main operating system to test backups; prefer an amnesic system such as Tails OS.
- Never take photos, screenshots, or store your seed phrase in any digital format (files, cloud, email).
- Never print your seed phrase, as printers may store it in memory even after printing.
- Avoid typing your seed phrase on shared devices or devices with an unknown usage history.
- Prefer open-source software that is widely audited and obtained from official sources.
- Create more than one physical backup of your seed phrase and store them in separate, secure locations.
- Any website, application, or person asking for your seed phrase is attempting a scam.
- Add an easy-to-remember passphrase to your wallet with 16 or more characters and store it separately from your seed phrase.
- If your seed phrase is ever exposed, consider it compromised and move your funds immediately.
- Don't Trust, Verify.
